As mandated by the State of Hawaii, employers must provide healthcare coverage in line with the Hawaii Prepaid Health Care Act we’re excited to offer employees residing in the State of Hawaii enrollment in HMSA coverage.
If you choose to elect coverage, your HMSA plan will be effective starting the first of the month following your hire date, ensuring you’re covered and supported moving forward.
Please note the following details:
- Current plan year HMSA coverage is effective July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025
- Coverage begins on the first of the month following your start date.
- Example, if you are hired January 5th, your coverage would begin February 1st.
- Your vision benefit under the HMSA enrollment will be with the EyeMed vision plan. You do not need to elect coverage in Workday for vision unless you would like to have double coverage.
- Your dental benefit is included in the HMSA enrollment. You do not need to elect Dental coverage in Workday unless you would like to have double coverage.
